| Dr. Jon McWhirter is an expert in a variety of subjects related to energy production, conversion and storage. He has over 40 years of experience in various aspects of energy and thermal sciences fields, with a remarkable breadth of activities. These include oil and gas processing and production, nuclear power, research, and education, both nationally and internationally. His research experiences span the theoretical, computational and experimental realms. He also has experience in engineering design, and in the operation of maintenance of various facilities and hardware. His particular specialty is anything involving liquid metals applications, including reactive or toxic liquid metal systems designs and instrumentation Beyond scientific pursuits, an explorations into liquid metal art is ongoing. |
